The concept for IndicLingo was conceived by Wharton School graduate, Shashwat Singh. The IndianAmerican management grad had noticed the lack of good quality language learning resources for Indian languages. The idea was to develop a Duolingo-style app and website that offered exhaustive, curated courses in every Indian language, including regional dialects and disappearing indigenous language and script systems.
